Day 634
South Africa had 25 deaths yesterday. Cases and deaths are trending down. 17,9% of the population are fully vaccinated and 23,5% have had at least 1 dose.
Let’s look at the top 10 lists for yesterday.
In Western Europe, cases are trending up again but deaths are still slowly trending down. In the EU 66,1% of the population are fully vaccinated and 69,0% have had at least 1 dose. The EU and Western Europe are not the same but there is a large overlap between them so I think it is useful to quote EU vaccinations to provide context for this graph.
In the UK cases are rising sharply and deaths are slowly trending up again. 67,9% of the population are fully vaccinated and 74,0% have had at least 1 dose.
In the US deaths and cases are trending down. 56,8% of the population are fully vaccinated and 65,8% have had at least 1 dose.
In Israel, cases and deaths are trending down again. 63,0% of the population are fully vaccinated and 68,5% have had at least 1 dose.
In Australia, cases and deaths were rising although it looks like it might have peaked now. 55,8% of the population are fully vaccinated and 71,5% have had at least 1 dose.
In Russia, cases and deaths are rising again. 32,2% of the population are fully vaccinated and 35,0% have had at least 1 dose.
Globally, deaths and cases are trending down. More than 6.67 billion doses of vaccine have been administered—enough to fully vaccinate 43.4% of the global population
