Day 797
South Africa reported 6 deaths yesterday. Cases and deaths are trending down. 29,9% of the population are fully vaccinated and 36,4% have had at least 1 dose. 3,5% of the population has had a booster shot.
Let’s look at the top 10 lists for yesterday.
In Western Europe, cases and deaths are trending down. In the EU 73,5% of the population are fully vaccinated and 75,9% have had at least 1 dose. 49,8% of the population has had a booster shot. The EU and Western Europe are not the same but there is a large overlap between them so I think it is useful to quote EU vaccinations to provide context for this graph.
In the UK cases and deaths are slowly trending up again. 73,6% of the population are fully vaccinated and 78,7% have had at least 1 dose. 57,8% of the population has had a booster shot.
In the US cases and deaths are trending down now. 64,9% of the population are fully vaccinated and 76,2% have had at least 1 dose. 29,0% of the population has had a booster shot.
In Israel, cases are trending up again but deaths are still flat. 66,5% of the population are fully vaccinated, 73,3% have had at least 1 dose and 56,7% have had a booster shot.
In Denmark, all Covid-19 restrictions have been lifted from February 2022 (day 740). 81,3% of the population are fully vaccinated, 83,1% have had at least 1 dose and 62,0% have had a booster shot.
Globally, cases and deaths are trending down now. More than 11,2 billion doses of vaccine have been administered—143 shots for every 100 people worldwide.
